Dual Video with GPS Timestamps

The Issue - Switching between two video setups for different uses and having accurate timing.

The Setup - ST80 holding a Mintron (SAC9V) on top of my 12" LX200.

The Watec 802h mounted on the main OTA and the Power Cord Splitter to power both cameras.

Here's the Solution - Radio Shack #15-1983 4-1 Video Selector Switch

This Switch "Coverts Composite Video to S-Video"

With a proper cable, you can record the Luminance from *ANY* video camera, not just one that has S-Video OUT. This will be the next test, as I have not done that here. "Input 1" already is the Luminance from the Mintron.

Watch the video, as I switch from the Mintron video stream (with the crosshairs) to the Watec video stream (no crosshairs and the timestamps just keep on trucking along.

Dual Video Timing  2MB

Now I can record events, such as Geosats, with the ST80. Then slew to the Moon and record occultations.

All with the press of a couple buttons.
