Richard's Unusual Target

Richard's Unusual Target (RUT) is a collection of unusual astronomical objects. Many of these objects defy explanation with presently known physical laws. Some have  unusual interpretations and physical consequences associated with their locations, energy output, size and place in our Universe. Some of the objects are ordinary Messier and NGC galaxies, nebulae and star clusters with an unusual twist to their physical properties and/or appearance. This collection of objects began as a series of presentations at NASA Johnson Space Center Astronomical Society in the mid 1990's and continues today.
