Questar Low Latitude Observing Platform

This platform can be made from materials from any hardware store for less than $10. The low latitude Questar legs are desired but not necessary, as can be seen in the lower photos. This platform is portable just like the Questar, and fits in a suitcase for traveling. The adjustable bolt from the Questar base to the plywood base allows the Questar to be set at any latitude from 0° (at the equator) to 18°.  Weight of the platform: 1.5 pounds, and its fairly sturdy.
